WHO ARE WE?

 

Van Noort Bulb Company is a family owned, international wholesale plant and flower bulb company. We create and grow at our farms in St. Catharine’s Ontario, Abbotsford and Langley BC. We distribute across Canada and the USA through these locations. We import and source from our Holland location and from around the world.

 

We are seeking a key individual to learn our business and work in Sales and Logistics. This is a unique position with lots of variety. During our busy shipping seasons, the role will focus on working hands-on with our product, coordinating packing teams and shipments. Once the shipping is quieter, the sales side of the role starts, and the successful candidate will be given a sales territory. We will provide thorough training and a chance to learn the business by training at all our locations. Our goal is for the successful candidate to assume a key position in our company. Ultimately, this role will focus on Warehouse, Sales, and Administration.

 

 

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL?

 

• You have at least two years of post-secondary education
• You have warehouse, sales and supervisory experience.
• You have experience in the horticultural industry (not mandatory but an asset)
• You are proficient in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Sage and CRM
• You are well organized, responsible, and energetic.
• You enjoy a varied pace of work that gets extremely busy during peak times.
• You are a team player who is willing to take on any job, big or small, to help your team.
• You must have a valid driver’s license and you must be available for travel.

 

 

 

 

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

• Work in a logistics role in the warehouse in our shipping season.
• Supervise picking and packing teams to ensure optimal efficiency.
• Responsible for a sales territory in our Western Region.
• Provides exceptional customer service in all aspects of the business to meet our customers’ needs.
• Develop excellent customer relationships – be personable and invest in our customers.
• Provide resolution to customer complaints and issues.
• Participate in other areas of the business during non-selling periods.
